The National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine takes a prominent place in the international system of physical education and sports science. During the years of its existence it has turned out into branched scientific, educational and sports complex, well-known in the world.

Training process is planned and realized on the basis of the latest scientific and scientific-methodical elaborations.

Scientists of the University actively participate in international congresses, symposia, conferences held in different countries as well as host foreign guests partaking in the same scientific forums.

In 1955 the institution began to admit foreign citizens for training in physical culture and sport. Diplomas in higher education were obtained by 1500 foreigners from 50 countries, including Algeria, Angola, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Venezuela, Greece, Israel, India, Iran, Cyprus, China, Columbia, Costa-Rika, Cuba, Lebanon, Mozambique, Mongolia, Nicaragua, Peru, Poland, Sierra-Leone, Thailand, Tunisia, Hungary, Finland, Croatia, Sweden, etc.

At the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine there is a Preparatory Department for International Students (Pre-admission course) where they may study Ukrainian/Russian, physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics and other subjects depending on the chosen field of instruction, pass tests and examinations and receive the Certificate on completing the course.

According to the legend, Kyiv was founded more than 1,500 years ago by three brothers Kyi, Schek, Khoryv and their sister Lybid. The city was named after the oldest brother Kyi. In the 9th century Kyiv became the capital of the Ancient Rus. The territory of this independent state stretched out from the Baltic Sea in the North to the Black Sea in the South and from Volga River in the East to the Carpathians Mountains in the West. Kyiv is often referred as “the mother of all cities” by Russians and Ukrainians and as a cradle of Slavonic civilization.

NTU “KhPI” is one of the oldest universities in Ukraine that prepares professionals in more than 100 specialties.

International Education Department in NTU “KPI” allows foreign students to learn Russian, prepare them for entering at NTU “KhPI” or studying in any university in Ukraine.

Admission of international students is carried out all year round. The duration of study is 10 months, during which students learn Russian language and get basic knowledge of natural sciences.

Our students live in comfortable dormitories, go in for sports in the modern sports complex and enjoy in the beautiful recreations.

Since 1996, Odessa National Medical University is in continuous co-operation with European and International Association of universities, as an active member. In 2001, it was admitted as a member of International Scientific Committee of UNESCO.

Odessa National Medical University extensively uses latest scientific techniques and practices of best universities of the world in teaching process. This great contribution is due to close links with leading universities and academic centres: Washington University (USA), Polish Academy of Medicine (Poland), Milan University (Italy), Institute of Experimental Immunology (Switzerland), the International Fund of Hippocrates (Greece), A. ONMedU’s participation in the joint programs and projects with Russia, Belgium, Netherlands, USA, Germany, Austria, South African Republic, etc. makes possible improvement and introduction into training and therapeutic processes of new educational and medical technologies, obtaining of grants, annual training of teachers in the best scientific and educational centers, direct deliveries of high technology medical equipments, joint release of scientific and scholarly literature, etc. Among the grants, carried out by the scientists of ONMedU together with the foreign associates : Practical-scientific grant (AIHA, USA), Training grant (UNICEF, the children’s fund of UN), Training grant (JHPIEGO, USA) and many others.

Our chief scientists are the honorable doctors of 42 international organizations and universities, who are “doctor honoris causa” of our university. They all deliver lectures to the students and teachers yearly. About city

Odessa is a beautiful city on the Black Sea coast that holds a special place in the hearts of Russians and Ukrainians. A visit to Odessa is sure to be unlike a visit to any other city. In contrast to other cities of the former Soviet Union, Odessa is rich in Western European culture. Odessa is known throughout the world for its art and culture and has, what is considered to be, the second most beautiful and important opera house in the world.

The population of Odessa is about 1.1 million. It is a cosmopolitan city with 150,000 tourists each year from all over the world. In the summer, they relax along the sandy shores of Odessa beaches and experience this eternally young city. The beaches allow tourists to feel like they are in the Mediterranean. All of the coast of Odessa is lined with popular beaches. In the summer they are filled with beautiful girls, music, and visitors sampling tasty food. One of the most popular beaches is Arcadia Beach, which is located about 10 minutes from downtown.

Walking in Odessa you can see its history from classical Italian influences to Soviet era apartment complexes. On Deribasovskaya Street — the central street – there is a variety of restaurants, theatres, concerts and a promenade of people. The port of Odessa has ships from all over the world arriving daily.

Odessa has 1185 streets, 62001 buildings, 24 hotels, 34 educational institutions, 88 health care centers, and 20 museums. Public transportation in Odessa city includes 21 tram routes, 15 trolley bus routes, 47 bus routes and 35 minibus routes. History of Odessa Odessa was founded in 1794 by Catherine the Great. In 1803, Tsar Alexander I appointed the 36 year old French emigrant, the Duke de Richelieu to be the mayor of Odessa. Eighteen months later, in 1805, the Tsar enlarged de Richelieu’s authority by appointing him to serve simultaneously as the governor of the three provinces of Ukraine. In the 11 years of his administration, the Duke de Richelieu acquired an extraordinary reputation as a statesmanship, both in Russia and abroad. His statue now points out to the sea, clothed inexplicable in a toga, presumably to indicate the source of Odessa’s wealth.

About University

The Warsaw University of Technology dates back to the early 19th century, when technical schools — related to engineering, military technology and mining — were first established in Poland.

The Preparatory School for the Polytechnic Institute was founded in Warsaw by Stanislaw Staszic, and this became the University of Technology in 1915, with the faculties of Architecture, Machine Design and Electrical Engineering. Today, it is one of the largest technical institutes in Central Europe with 19 faculties — including Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering, Electronics and Information Technology and Mechatronics — and one college, nearly 35,000 students and more than 2,000 academic teachers. The most popular fields of study in 2015 were geoinformatics, automatic control and robots, and biomedical engineering.

The top three areas of the study were computer science, administration and management. The university aims to anticipate what the future might be in terms of economic and cultural conditions by having a clear understanding of the present, and to come up with technological solutions. To this end, it is a strong emphasis on research, community between teachers and students, and academic freedom.

In 2015, the university conducted more than 500 national and international research projects, with the intention of understanding the fast-changing and increasingly complex world. Warsaw University of Technology is a state school with full academic autonomy. V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is one of the oldest universities in Eastern Europe. It was founded in November 1804, on the initiative of the prominent educator V.N. Karazin and in accordance with the charter of Tsar Alexander I.

The title of Honorary Doctor of Kharkiv University was conferred on the first President of Ukraine Mykhailo Hrushevskyi.

Kharkiv University is associated with the first Ukrainian newspapers and journals and the first scientific societies.

Since its foundation, the University has graduated over 130,000 students. The names of the University graduates are commemorated in geographical names, names of space objects, plants and minerals, laws and formulae. Almost 60 University graduates have become academicians and corresponding members of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences (UNAS)

Today Kharkiv National University has 21 Schools: the School of Biology, the School of Physics and Technology, the School of Radio Physics, the School of Physics, the School of Computer Sciences, the School of Philosophy, the School of Mechanical Engineering, the School of Geology and Geography, the School of Economics, the School of Foreign Languages, the School of History, the School of Philology, the School of Fundamental Medicine, the School of Chemistry, the School of Sociology, the School of Psychology, the School of Law, the School of International Economic Relations and Tourism, the School of Further Education and Retraining, and the School of Physics and Energy. V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is involved in extensive international cooperation and is an active member of the international community of the leading European and world universities. It cooperates with 61 partners in 25 countries of the world.

About city

Kharkiv is a city situated in the north-eastern part of Ukraine. It is the second largest city after Kiev and the first capital of the country. According to some historical documents, the city was founded in 1654, but the origin of it’s name is still a mystery. Kharkiv is the second largest in Ukraine on scientific and educational potential. The city has 13 national universities and numerous professional, technical and private higher education institutions, offering its students a wide range of disciplines.

The city has a high concentration of research institutions, which are independent or loosely connected with the universities. Kharkiv is a large industrial center of Ukraine. The basis of the productive capacity of the enterprise is high-tech industries: power engineering, electrical engineering, transport and agriculture engineering, instrumentation, electronics, aerospace. It is also the first time in Kharkov in Europe the atom was split, the nature of superconductivity was studied, the largest radio telescope was created, a framework of the theory of oscillations in the plasma, the scattering of slow neutrons in crystals were developed.

Kharkiv has good infrastructure. It has an extremely functional/practical underground transit system and a relatively well-connected bus network. The inhabitants are friendly and passionate. In addition, the hospitality towards foreigners is very warm – probably owing to it’s long-standing status as an educational town.

There are many famous institutes of higher education in Kharkiv; Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics has a significant place in the system of Ukrainian higher education.

The city has its own charm – narrow streets with old buildings of different architectural styles and small yards in the city down town, huge and impressive main square, majestic cathedrals and small churches, subway many stations of which can be considered as a separate work of art. Kharkiv has 6 outstanding professional theatres, circus, several museums and many libraries. Kharkiv is a very green city, there are more than 100 parks on it’s territory. Kharkiv is the major student centre of Ukraine. It is a city of 100,000 students and about 30 higher educational institutions.
