Students who complete a programme of dual studies find employment in the companies involved in it.

Beside the companies already mentioned the list of partners includes: Samsung Electronics, Amica, Man Bus, HCP-Poznań, Luvena, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals S.A.), Dalkia, Budimex, Skanska, MTP-Poznań, BZ WBK – Group Santander, and many others.

In November 2016 a Huawei Academy was opened at Poznan University of Technology, first of its kind in Poland. A modern laboratory was built, where students can study modern Huawei technologies. They can expand their knowledge of modern technologies through practical classes conducted by professionals in this field.

Since 2014 a Centre of Aviation has been in existence with a modern flight simulator; Poznan University of Technology has a fleet of two aircraft: Zlin 242L and Extra 330 LX as well as MDM-1Fox air glider. At present Poznan University of Technology students can be educated in two fields: Aviation and Astronautics.

International cooperation

Poznan University of Technology has signed around 230 international agreements with universities in Europe and outside. The University has been participating in the Erasmus+ programme and bilateral exchange agreements for many years. In scientific research Poznan University of Technology collaborates with as many as 80 universities from around the world.

Double degree – double advantage

In order to improve education standards Poznan University of Technology collaborates with companies not only in Poland. Special agreements have been signed with universities in France – Lille-I and Université Evry Val d’Essonne for the following fields of study: Automation Control and Robotics and Corporate Management; these agreements enable students to obtain two degrees upon completing a joint programme of study. There are further similar projects in preparation.

Technology in a positive feeling

Poznan University of Technology students can join one of over 80 science groups in order to pursue their scientific interests, to obtain additional grants from the Rector to conduct research or for scientific travel.

Beside science groups there is a student radio station Radio Afera, a student TV station Spacja TV, university choir Poligrodzianie, and many other organisations.

Poznan University of Technology also has 36 sporting clubs where nearly 1500 students exercise regularly. At the Academic Sport Gala in 2016 Poznan University of Technology was fourth in general classification, and third in the category of technical universities. University of finance and management

The main objective of the University of Finance and Management is to create the best possible conditions for studying. The priority of the university is also supporting the development of students in the social, sporting and cultural areas. The WSFiZ has introduced a number of changes and cooperates with student organizations to create atmosphere of the university that is student friendly.

  • Faculty of Management and Finance

    The faculty is the oldest department of the university. The faculty consists of outstanding teachers from Poland and from abroad. Significant is the fact that the university rector is a successful economist who is a long-term member of the Board of the Stock Exchange in Warsaw – prof. Doctor of Sciences Maria Sierpinska. It should be noted that there are enough winners and beneficiaries of prestigious international and national scientific competitions among the workers at the faculty, as well as holders of international research grants.

  • Faculty of Psychology

    Faculty of Psychology is the largest scientific department of the university. In 2002, the faculty received the right to assign a master’s degree in psychology, and in 2010 – to confer the degree of candidate of humanities in psychology. We were entrusted with 2000 students, who are now studying at full-time and part-time departments. Master’s degree has already been received by more than 3500 of our graduates.

    From the very beginning of its existence, the faculty is proud of outstanding scientific personnel, which continue to achieve significant research success.     Faculty of Law and Administration is the youngest, but very rapidly developing research unit of our University. A few dozen teachers provide a study of all branches of law.   • Faculty of Social Sciences

    The Faculty of Social Sciences is a young, dynamically developing research division of the University. The teaching staff of the faculty are successful researchers, teachers and practitioners from the sphere of public relations and new media, as well as mass social science.

  • The Department of Foreign Languages

    The Department of Foreign Languages ​​provides training in foreign languages ​​within the framework of the approved curriculum. Experienced teachers use proven and effective teaching methods combined with a modern training base to ensure a high level of education.

    The activity of the department is successfully managed by Angelica Ben Mansour. Undoubted advantage of the department is a convenient system of training, as well as partnership with teachers. In 2015 the University of Finance and Management obtained accreditation of the official accreditation body Polish Acreditation Commision (PAC). For foreign students

  • For entrants from Belarus, Russia and Ukraine there are no entrance exams. We provide the necessary documents for obtaining a student visa (invitation), certificates for the military commissariat.

University Facilities

The University owns the buildings located on a single plot, housing over 100 teaching rooms, computer labs, sports halls, chairs and departments, a library with a large reading room, a book shop, a cafe and a restaurant, its own hotel, and the administrative premises of four faculties. Recently a well-equipped modern edifice with two spacious halls has been added to this list. All the buildings are designed to fully satisfy the University’s academic needs as well as host important ceremonies at the regional level and beyond.

Library

The Library and reading room of the University of Finance and Management are a facility serving the needs of higher education in the areas of management, macro- and microeconomics, finance, banking accounting, marketing, economic law, ethics, sociology, regional planning, language studies and political studies.

The whole collection numbers over 80,000 volumes. The library also has holdings in the English and German languages. The library subscribes to over 200 periodicals, including some foreign titles favoured by our academic community (Financial Times, Newsweek, The Economist, Stern, Wirtschaftswoche, Harvard Business Review and many others, available in online versions as well).

The library also has a rich collection of audio and video cassettes and compact discs (about 1600 in total). In the multimedia reading room the students and the staff have at their disposal computers with free access to the Internet, which means access to several thousand scientific journals (via EBSCO service).

Bogomolets National Medical University

Science in NMU Bohomolets carried out by 82 departments and 2 research institutions. Among the 29 employees of the university academicians and corresponding members of National Academies, 224 doctors and 895 PhDs. Subjects of research includes basic and applied research on important areas of medical and pharmaceutical science. By scientific work actively involved students. Kiev national medical university is the main educational, research and therapeutic center of Ukraine, which celebrates 175 years in 2016 and impresses by the quantity of excellent doctors who graduated from this higher educational institution. Bogomolets National Medical University was created in 1841. Its first professor and the dean was a talented ophthalmologist Professor Karavaev, who was taught by the great surgeon Pirogov.

Bogomolets National Medical University is really scientific. Kiev national medical university is a basic university in implementation and coordination of the reforming of the system of Ukrainian education up to European standards according to the Bologna Declaration. The appropriate changes in the teaching, studying processes and in the evaluation of knowledge have been introduced.

Bogomolets National Medical University annually prepares about 1,000 qualified specialists who work afterwards in Ukraine, Europe, USA, countries of South America, Asia, Middle East, Africa. Today the university organized studying of more than 12 000 students, masters, clinical residents, interns, postgraduate and doctoral students. Also there are around 1 200 international students studying different specializations. Employers in other countries are usually impressed by the level of preparation of graduates and eagerly cooperate with them.

Practical Training

The practical training is the important component in training a doctor and pharmacist.

The knowledge and skills, acquired during study at clinical and theoretical departments, are consolidated by the students during practical training, which is held in winter and in summer. The bases of practical training are over 200 most powerful medical preventive establishments in Kyiv. The practice is managed by more than 280 experienced teachers of the university, which have the higher medical category and employees from practical health care with the corresponding qualifications – at training bases.

The organization of practical training is the complex mechanism, which includes the work on selection of training bases, submission of the corresponding documents in order to execute the orders for Chief administration of health care in c. Kyiv, pharmaceutical unions and city sanitary epidemiological service about distribution of students and teachers among practical training bases, establishment of orders on practical training for the University, provision of teachers and students with the corresponding accompanying and methodical materials, taking the differentiated credit on practical training, liquidation of failed exams if a student did not pass through the whole practical training or its certain cycles due to valid reason.

It is necessary to organize and to carry out the medical examinations of students and bacteriological examination for students to receive the access to practical training at medical establishments with special antiepidemic mode (maternity hospitals and departments, surgical hospitals).

The students-foreigners, representatives of fifty seven countries, also pass through practical training. The experienced teachers, who fluently speak English and know the medical terminology in English, are assigned to manage the practical training of the students with English speaking study form.

Kyiv is one of the most beautiful cities of the world that picturesquely spreads on the Dnipro river hills. As others old cities Kyiv has no exact date of foundation. According to the legend, Kyiv was founded more than 1,500 years ago by three brothers Kyi, Schek, Khoryv and their sister Lybid. The city was named after the oldest brother Kyi. In the 9th century Kyiv became the capital of the Ancient Rus. The territory of this independent state stretched out from the Baltic Sea in the North to the Black Sea in the South and from Volga River in the East to the Carpathians Mountains in the West. Kyiv is often referred as “the mother of all cities” by Russians and Ukrainians and as a cradle of Slavonic civilization.
